Pentecost is the festival when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is celebrated on the Sunday 50 days after Easter. Pentecost is regarded as the birthday of the Christian church. This coming Sunday, May 23rd we encourage everyone to wear red. yellow or white. The color red symbolizes joy and the fire of the Holy Spirit. It could be a shirt, a tie, a blouse, a dress, a skirt, a scarf, a necklace. Let’s fill the Sanctuary with color.
