You are invited to come explore music opportunities at HUMC
Tuesday, February 27th, 6-7
Come meet Forrest Brown our music director, and learn about the future of music at HUMC. Share your hopes and dreams that will help us to grow and expand the music in worship and in other areas of church ministry.
There will be demonstrations and a chance to sing. Try out a Handbell to see how easy it is. No need to be a professional, all you need is a joy for music.
Right now we have the Chancel Choir/Praise Team, with a handbells & youth choir on the horizon and let’s not forget Testify (the children’s choir). The modern world is one where people are increasingly isolated. Singing has been central to religion as a way of connecting us.
Recent research reveals that group singing helps create social bonds. People feel valued and make friends. As our horizons are broadened our social interaction is improved.
Don’t forget, there’ll be cake & ice cream. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 27th, 6-7. All are invited from middle school to 101! If you play an instrument bring it along. Let us fill the air with joyful music.
